DON RIVER DASH 2025:Tech Talks, Prerunner Field Test, & Bailey co-racing the Trophy Ute

It's fast becoming one the of the most well attended and prestigious winner titles for off road competitors across Australia, the Don River Dash is a two-day event held in Bowen, QLD.

Just up the road from Airlie Beach and on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, this will be our second year headed to DRD!

TECH TALKS

Behind the scenes, we've partnered with Burdekin Offroad Race Club to create 'Tech Talks'. We're lucky enough to have friends from American offroad racing, and a few are coming along to DRD as crew and they'll also be presenting about their areas of expertise at Scrutineering Night.

Race will guide you through radio etiquette and operation, drawing on decades of PCI knowledge. His talk will cover basic communications troubleshooting, tips for helmet set-ups, GPS units, Starlink, and those tricky technical issues that can derail even the best-prepared teams. And Luis will guide you through shock servicing and dive into essential basics of shock tuning, including pre-load settings and spring selection.

To celebrate Luis and Race’s involvement in this year’s Don River Dash, we’re giving away a prize pack — winners will be drawn from submitted questions during the Tech Talks.

How to enter: Submit your question for Race or Luis here.

PRERUNNER FIELD TEST

Our Land Rover Defender is slowly taking shape as a road legal Pre Runner build right here in Australia. Inspired by all the rigs we've seen in SoCal and Baja, our Defender is getting kitted out with Fox Shocks, Yokohama Tyres, Carbon Winch, Custom Lithium Battery and an LS Engine!

We can't wait to unveil this project at the Carbon Offroad booth at the 2025 Melbourne 4x4 Show, August 22-24. Then at DRD we'll put her to the test in the river bed.

BAILEY COLE WILL BE SHARING DRIVER DUTIES!

It's with great excitement that Bailey will be joining us for an Australian race and hopping in the Trophy Ute once again. Jack & Bailey will tackle the Don together and hopefully make a winning combination.
